Painting In The Years No One Speaks Of…Covid

“This was a time like no other...hopefully. Yet so much beauty came along with the chaos and change.”
No one knew we would get so much time at home. No one knew that one day it would end. We hoped, yet we worried. Well I worried. To get a little esoteric for a minute, I once wrote for publication on worry. The best thing I learned was with creative people worry lives on a spectrum. On the far left it’s toxic, life sucking and debilitating. On the far right it’s pure creative flow. It’s our brains working to make sense of things and sometimes it’s harsh and negative and other times it’s beautiful and original. Think of the most creative person you know. Someone who writes, or maybe dreams, builds or makes things. They might make things you see or can pick up and play with or they might make up stories or build experiences on stage. Are they also worriers? Yep, thought so. It’s something I’ve been watching for years. This is my way of copyrighting this idea, so you don’t steal it. OK back to this group of drawings and paintings.
I had a mentor that wrote on a poster he designed, “Time is creative dessert” and lots of us, I will save a priveledged few got a lot of time during Covid. I used mine to create and these pieces are amoung those.
